Most traveller’s to Peru will at some point spend some time in Cusco – here are some of our suggestions for restaurants to eat in.
Amazing décor and ambience, best at night for drinks and partying. Also has a guest house with four individually designed funky suites.
Plazoleta Nazarenas 221.
Real McCoy
Very British and popular with the ex-pats, so if you are missing sausage and mash or fish and chips and a pub quiz this is the place for you.

Cicciolina
Upstairs at the back. Excellent food from tapas to full menu, white tablecloths. Best wine selection in Cusco. Breakfast also available.
Triunfo 393.
Sister restaurant to Cicciolina. Good food and wine selection, English menus and service. Good for a special evening out.
Ruinas 465.
El Hada
Delicious organic ice-creams and good coffees.

Excellent café and bakery. Project to help girls from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Extremely good natural/organic food, including yogurts and cheesecakes. Good-value lunches.

Meat place, cuy sometimes available, expensive but good quality.
(Off the Plaza de Armas on Espaderos and Plateros).
Really good choice of typical dishes. Well known for their Lomo Saltado. Cuy available if ordered 24 hours in advance.

Excellent pizza and delicious salads in a modern setting. Always busy.
Herrajes 138.
Japanese owned, good local dishes at highish prices. Excellent homemade chocolates. Good-value fixed-price lunch.
Plateros 309.
Popular with the locals. A nice courtyard so best for lunch. Cuy is usually available. Open 12.00–1800.
Choquechaca 384.
For large plates of local food at cheap prices. Don’t expect any English nor fast service, these restaurants are quite rustic, but the food is plentiful and tasty. This is where the locals go to eat with work mates, family or friends at lunch time.
