Climbing and Mountaineering in Chile
Chile is an excellent mountaineering country, offering remote climbing among some of the Andes’ highest peaks.
The central, southern and Patagonia Andes all present different challenges to mountaineers and trekkers.
Marmolejo is the world’s most southerly 6,000m+ (19,695ft) peak, Tupangato a rarely climbed 6,500m+ (21,325ft) peak.
And then you have Ojos Del Salado – a mighty 6,893m/22,615ft and just a whisker lower than Aconcagua.
The landscapes in Southern Chile and Argentina are AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL.
