We had an amazing trip. I think the highlight was the Salkantay trek. And Machu Pichu did not disappoint in any way. Everyone was excellent ,as was our guide Piero. The hotels were fine. I think the Midori in Cuzco was particularly good.
It was a truly wonderful trip and we have certainly fallen in love with Peru.

We did so many excellent and fun activities on this trip its hard to pin it down to one but I think for both of us the most enjoyable day was the half-day cactus valley trek in the Atacama. The scenery was spectacular for the whole time we were in the desert and this walk gave us the opportunity to experience it at close hand, especially the cacti and local flora. We also did a night sky astronomy trip (2-3hrs) which wasn’t included in the itinerary and was really excellent – I would recommend this to anybody as a “must do” whilst in San Pedro.

We had a wonderful time. Ecuador is a fantastically diverse country and we will definitely go back. So many highlights! Observing the courtship dance of the waved albatross on Espanola; the magnificence of Lake Quilotoa; Observing a feeding sloth in the Amazon; swimming with sharks and sea turtles; hummingbirds at Bellavista.
All our guides were excellent, extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

The Lares Trek! This was the most physically challenging thing I’ve ever done but also one of the most rewarding! The scenery was incredible, the guide was excellent, the food was comparable to a nice restaurant at every meal and the other trekkers will be long-time friends! I liked the small group size, the knowledge and professionalism of the guide and the very hard-working horsemen and cooks.

The Condoriri walk was breathtaking … and on some of those passes, boy, were we taking breaths! Our guide and our cook were terrific friendly and professional people. We also stumbled across one of your team, Osvaldo, at one of the camp sites. Really nice bloke with impressive attitude to his business.
The salt flats were also fantastic … a lot of driving, but that’s the deal. Extraordinary country, surreal landscapes. And the accommodation! not really what one would call roughing it. The driver was great … calm and measured, and an ironic sense of humour that matched my own

The Inca Trail hike itself was the highlight. I thoroughly enjoyed it, great weather, absolutely beautiful views and an awesome team of porters. Great team we had, lively Victor (Guide) as well. Accommodation was awesome, including the tents. The food was great at all venues, including at the Hike and hotels. I would rate all of them 10/10.

We are absolutely happy with the accommodation, the tour guide to the glaciers and bus service to El Chalten. The Kosten Aike was lovely and was much more than what we would have chosen ourselves. Fabulous breakfast. We liked its environmental efforts. Latitude 49 in Chalten was just fine as it allowed us to cook ourselves and the owner was delightful and helpful.
Thank you so much for organising a memorable trip full of big horizons.

I had a fantastic time in the Salar. The place is extraordinary and beyond anything I imagine even from the photos I saw before getting there. Every day the landscape is different and unique. Such a range of natural occurrences in such vastness it makes it a spiritual experience as well as a visual one.
Our guide Alfredo was brilliant. I felt well throughout the trip but was very sluggish with the altitude and the jet-lag and I was very grateful our guide took such good care of us and of all our needs, everything run easily and smoothly. He also spoke very good English and translated for me if I had difficulty with the Spanish explanation. A wonderful experience.

What a fantastic trip !!
The itinerary, hotels and organisation were excellent. The highlights of the trip were 1) Reaching the Sungate and looking down on Machu Picchu, despite there being no real sunrise as it was grey and misty. Did clear later on and bright sun. 2) The stay with Mama Husta on Amantani Island lovely family and good accommodation and food and good entertainment and we helped the children in school.
Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

The overall organisation was brilliant. I would say the best guides for me were in La Paz and the local guide in Uyuni. Also Oswaldo our trek guide and the whole organisation there were brilliant. The accommodation was fine – a little cold in Uyuni, but not much can be done about that! The food was very good all along and I had no troubles there at all.

I´ve got to say the highlight of my time climbing in the avenue of volcanoes was reaching the summit of Cayambe. I don’t think I really had a low point to be honest. The food was very good, our guide Ramiro was excellent–light hearted, funny, personable–and the overall experience of the trip was great.

Our guide Andrés in mainalnd Ecuador was great. He picked us up/dropped us off from the airport and was our guide for the Quito city tour and Cotopaxi volcano tour. He was on time in fact early for pick ups. He was very knowledgeable and informative as well as coming across in a very relaxed and friendly manner.
Once on Galapagos, Pablo Vallanderes , was our guide. He enhanced our experience on the Galapagos with his passion and enthusiasm.
Our visit to the Cloud Forest continued our adventures! Again, our guide Nelson Apolo was brilliant. So knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic.

Everything worked out really well. We were met at the airport and each day our drivers picked us up as expected. The organisation was brilliant.
All the activities were fantastic. We loved the white water rafting , El Monde Lodge (wonderful location) and the zip wires in particular. The hike to quilatoa crater was good, though I’m glad we got horses to bring us back up!
I’d like to explore more of South America in future so may be in touch next year!

The highlight was definitely just how amazing that part of the world is – Patagonia is stunning, I loved it. In particular, I loved the Argentinian side of Patagonia around El Chalten and the hikes we did in that part of Patagonia. Of course, a lot of what will affect a hiking trip is the weather, and I have to say that we had perfect weather on the day with the best viewpoint.
