I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Peru. You did an excellent job in picking our tour guides and activities. The guides were all well informed and their operation was excellent. They were prepared for us and told exactly what we needed to bring for each activity. Their equipment was all in great shape and had our safety in mind. They were very efficient in set up and break down. The food was wonderful and plentiful. I once again would go on this trip again

Our experience in Peru was absolutely WONDERFUL!! From the places we stayed and visited to the food we ate to the people we met, it was wonderful. It is hard to pinpoint just one highlight of the trip, but our time on the Inca Trail was certainly one of our favorites. It was truly amazing to see the sights and be able to experience this incredible part of Peru. We are so thankful that we upgraded our hike to the luxury trail because it allowed us to move at a slower pace than the other hikes and really enjoy our time. Our tour guide on trail was Jose’ Silva and he was phenomenal. His knowledge of the trail and the history as well as his love for his country was a joy…he also had a fantastic personality which made our time with him fun! The crew of porters who cared for us were amazing and kind men who made us very comfortable throughout the journey. We would most certainly do this again, and we would not change a thing. We also enjoyed our tour in Cusco. The company who toured us was great–they were well organized and it was obvious they knew what they were doing.
We would most certainly work with Andean Trails again. We appreciate you taking the time to answer all of our questions while we were planning. We were very prepared as we followed your packing list exactly, and we think our trip was amazing due to your knowledge of the treks.
Than you very much!

It was indeed a great trip. I can probably speak for all of us when I say we all enjoyed the trip. The glacier school sessions were fun and useful – both guides started off with the very basics of walking in crampons and we progressed to the point of front-pointing up some ice walls on the Cayambe glacier with a top rope. Hotel accommodation was in the main of a high standard. We particularly appreciated the fine hotel in Riobamba (Abraspungo) where we spent 2 nights and the Tambopaxi hostel at the foot of Cotopaxi in the national park.

The whole holiday was fantastic but the two main highlights were swimming with sea lions in the Galapagos Islands and getting to Machu Pichu after the four day trek.

The trip was amazing. We loved the activities provided and the combination of the physical and cultural activities. The trip was incredibly well-organized and the guides (the two Juan Carloses and Jaime) were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Their English was easily understood. The rest of the staff (drivers, etc.) were also friendly and helpful.
We loved the combination of touring Cusco and its environs and the build up to Macchu Picchu. Of course visiting that site and combining this with the jungle (my favorite part) made it a remarkable trip.

The training on the glacier was great, very well organised and useful. Accommodation/food/guides/organisation – extremely well organised especially compared to other companies in Huaraz. Suitable equipment was provided which proved to be of a high standard. The tents were ideal for the conditions and the sleeping bags were more than adequate for the temperature. The food was beyond what I expected in terms of quality. It was plentiful and tasty. The guides were knowledgeable and encouraging and prepared to go the extra mile to help.

The trip was outstanding. No low points at all, even waking up in the small hours to the anchor being dropped after motoring all night was lovely.
I think the last day was possibly the best, all through the trip there was something new to see around every corner but there was almost an explosion of wildlife that time.
The Mary Anne was first class and the guides were also outstanding. Knowing that we were on a locally owned and operated ship was great.

The guides were wonderful, especially Jesus in Cusco. He took my son and husband to a football match and really went above and beyond to make sure ever yone had a great time.

Everything was fabulous and we had a terrific time! The guides were very good (it was particularly good having 2 guides since people do walk at different paces, and we were able to split the group in 2 so some people could go all the way into the French Valley while the rest of us decided to continue), the food (especially at the Eco Camp) was very good, and the refugios were great especially considering how far from civilization they are! The transfers were all very well organized.
The highlight was the hike up to the Torres – loved the challenge and the weather was very good all the way up, with the clouds almost completely clearing when we got to the top! Also the glaciers on Grey Lake.

It was a really wonderful trip, we both enjoyed it tremendously, the highlights were getting to the top of 2 mountains. I found both ascents quite demanding, but it was exhilarating to reach the top and be rewarded with tremendous views.
The accommodation was fine – we had a very spacious tent, and Olaza’s B&B was very nice to come back to after a few days camping. The food while camping was really great, the cook Manuel performed miracles! Rodolfo was a really excellent guide, he was very patient with me, he was very good company, and he organised everything extremely well.
Thanks very much to you and to Kathy for putting the holiday together for us. It was a great experience and I am certainly looking forward to going back for more!

Machu Picchu and actually the hike itself was the high point. The scenery, the flowers, the food, the guide,… were all excellent. The local staff all did an excellent job from end to end. I don’t know if you use them all the time, but I would highly recommend them. The food on the Machu Picchu hike was awesome—Florentine the chef should be highly commended for the quality and variety of the meals. Best on a hike ever. The guide, Jeremy, was excellent too as were the staff in general.

Our trip was a huge success and we had a wonderful time. With a varied and busy itinerary, we always had something exciting to look forward to and nothing failed to live up to expectations. All accommodations were good but the Bellavista Lodge in the Cloudforest, the Hato Verde hacienda in Cotopaxi national park, and the Hosteria Mandala in Puerto Lopez, were all outstanding.
Everything went perfectly well, and thanks to all involved at Andean Trails for a great itinerary and for organising it all.

All and all this was a most incredible trip for us. Great fun, very informative and full of new experiences. Much of the success we can attribute to Andean Trails and your representatives locally. All reservations, pickups and other arrangements came off as planned.
Our 2 favorite experiences were the Full Paine Tour, probably a must if you are there as well as the hike to the Lake at the base of the 3 towers, difficult but one of the best hikes I have ever had. Overall, the quality of the rooms and and public areas were nicely done. The quality of the food was good considering the remoteness of the location.
We think that your package as structured worked very well for travelers like ourselves who want some comfort in their accomodations, a variety of choices in their daily activities and certainty and reliability in their movement from place to place. For us, you Tom and Andean Trails delivered as promised and we would be more than happy to recommend you to others.

Although we enjoyed the whole trip if we have to select a highlight it was our visit to the Yasuni National Park. Wildlife watching from the canoe, walking through the rainforest and looking over the forest canopy from the viewing tower were all great experiences and we were amazed by the diversity and visual accessibility of so many plants and some much wildlife.
Napo Wildlife Centre – Such a wonderful location and the fact that it can only be accessed by canoe helps to make it a really special place.
Bellavista – Another room with a view in a great location for bird–watching including from the circular dining room and around the lodge. Staff were friendly and helpful.
All the guides were very knowledgeable and keen to show us their country and its wildlife. They were also happy to talk more generally about other aspects of life in Ecuador which added to the interest of the trip. They were friendly and spoke excellent English.
