Thanks, the holiday was fab. All the guides were amazing especially Pablo. We loved it.

Everyday was amazing, whenever we thought the holiday must have peaked, we did something even more fabulous the next day. My top 3 are: that full day of mountain biking in Imbabura, climbing Rucu Pichincha and the white water rafting. Brilliant accommodation: beautiful boutique hosterias, excellent guides, perfect organisation. Never any delays, never felt messed around…impeccable.

It was an amazing trip and we are definitely going back. Some positives – the two mule handlers who were trekking with us were so sweet and lovely and although spoke broken English made every attempt to talk to us, Esteban was great (really fantastic and we developed a great rapport with him by the end), the walk (although hard!)was amazing. The scenery in Bolivia was amazing too and we had the loveliest guide, Freddie, took us on the Las Cornisas trek in Chile. Apart from Salta the accommodation was great…we even survived the camping!
On counting on the flight home, between us we had a couple of thousand photos – lots of memories! Thanks for all you help in planning out trip, we really appreciated it!

We luckily had great weather and so each element was very good in its own manner. If we had to rank it then

1.Trekking esp. Torre
2.Buenos Aires esp. football and
3.Perito Moreno but frankly with the weather and everything considered it was all really good just a little rushed on the travelling around but given the country size and our time available that was always the only option
Pedro our trekking guide was very good and interesting and we seemed to gel well together. I have sent him the photos he wanted from Torre on day two already.

To say my trip was a success is a grave understatement, it was a howling success. It far outweighed my expectations.
The highlights were two a penny but in the early days the charm and friendliness of the hotel in El Calafate* was reassuring. I loved the ferry trip up the coast, there was one memorable moment when in the roughest part I was walking to my table with a plate of spaghetti when there was a fearful lurch and I went one way, the boat another and the spags yet another. After that I was guarded by a glamorous sailor wherever I went.

Hotel Sol y Luna is absolutely fantastic – rooms, food and service. Can absolutely recommend it. The train ride with Peru Rail’s Vistadom was brilliant as well.

The hotel in Cusco (I think it was called Unatayambo) was very cosy and nice. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly . Both tours Jesus in Cusco organized for me ( 1/2 day city tour and a full day tour to Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantytambo, etc.) were very good and are recommendable.

I had such a fantastic time.  I really didn’t want to leave.  It is certainly a country that I would like to see more of.  The sights were amazing and the people lovely and I was impressed with the amount of English that was spoken and the patience they had for gringoes.  All the guides were great and very thorough (sorting out transfers, tickets and pick-up times etc) which made the whole experiece extremely smooth.  There were so many parts of the trip that were wonderful that it is a little difficult to pick out a highlight.  The 2 day trek felt very special as there were so few other people around and it was wonderful to see Saul perform a ceremony at Huchuy Qosqo.

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into the planning of this trip for me.  I really appreciate everything that you have done to make this holiday a unique and seamless experience.  I would certainly highly recommend Andean Trails to others.  I couldn’t have asked for any more from you.
