The accommodations were really nice excluding Banos (but I think that the town has not much more to offer).Your partner volcano climbing agency has provided a really outstanding service (precise,accurate,friendly) thanks to Rami and Wil the climbing guides (a real nice guy).On our side we have been very happy to achieve a 100% success rate in our climbing activity despite despite some very nasty weather on Cotopaxi. Can´t think of anything that was not great about the trip … great food ,great people, amazing scenery,brilliant strong horses, cosy comfy accomodation. The Paine trek was fantastic. After hearing horror stories from other travellers about the gale-force winds & horizontal rain, I couldn’t believe my luck when we had 4 days of blue sky and only a little bit of wind on the last day. Our guide, Jay (Chaid is his real name I think, he’s from Turkey) was brilliant. He couldn’t have done more for us, sorting out a few things in the hotel as well as making sure we didn’t have to worry about anything other than putting one foot in front of the other.

Thanks again for your help with organising it all, I’ve got some great photos to make everyone jealous with.

» Paine O Circuit Full Trek: Guided

I just wanted to report that I had a great time while in Chile (28Nov – 18 Dec). Everyone in there was very friendly (one local gave me a free guided tour after I arrived, and took me to lunch) I was lucky with the weather in Patagonia so I had great views all the way around the circuit and the group I was with (only 3 others and I got a tent to myself) were very friendly and the guide (Eduardo) excellent. The Atacama stars were all I was hoping for. Some excellent shooting starts and clear nights. Good tours of flamingos, geysers and ancient forts there too.

We both thoroughly enjoyed the trip and all went very smoothly – pick-ups, tours, hotels the lot – I think I liked the Uyuni tours people best but it´d be close were it a competition. The staff in the hotel in Puno were probably the most helpful of anywhere but all the hotels were clean and comfortable so we´ve no complaints on the accommodation front and all the guides we met en-route were knowledgeable, polite and helpful.

Thanks for all your help with the organisation you can certainly use every one that you used for us again with confidence. We´ve no plans as yet for more trips but you never know when the wanderlust will hit again and

we´ll certainly keep you in mind.

» Bolivia Uyuni Salt Flats 4WD Tour

The whole trip was very interesting, and the local organisation was very good. The guides were all very knowledgeable and helpful, and no complaints about any of the hotels.

We were glad we added the Sajama extension – that was one of the most interesting parts of the trip. I would have liked to see a bit more of Lake Titicaca, and maybe visit Tiwanaku.

Overall it’s a well-thought out trip, and you definitely get to see a lot of the country. The place is fascinating – I think any geologist visiting Bolivia would be in heaven – and certainly lived up to expectations, especially the salt flats.

Our trip was amazing thank you, am still trying to get used to being back!

It’s hard to pick highlights as every place was good, although the Iguazu Falls just did it for me probably as they are so impressive and you get to go right up close to them.

All the tour guides we had were very fiendly and could all speak good English so we didn’t have any problems.

Thank you for all the help over the last few months and helping with all the bookings, flights, etc. We have already started thinking about what our next holiday will be!

» Patagonia Self-guided Tour with W Trek

We loved our whole trip to South America, it made things so easy for us to have all the accommodation and transfer pre sorted.

Santiago – Great guy transferred us to the hotel and gave us some fantastic information about what we could do and where we could go and the Hotel was first rate with really nice breakfasts.

Lima – San Antonio Abad was a bit hit and miss with their helpfulness but was nice to be close to lots of food places to eat out.

Huaraz – We loved the Hotel Olazas and their breakfasts on the roof. Trekking and Climb – they were amazing and really sorted us for the climb (we could have done with the kitlist though pre trip as we had missed a few things we had to borrow) and trekking Cusco – Hotel Unaytambo was superb. Probs the best hotel we stayed in for friendliness and comfort – Great trip to Macchu Picchu on train and good pickups etc…

Manu – We loved what we saw and where we stayed – the food wasn’t great and the staff were sometimes a bit busy chatting to be helping us but we loved it all the same. A lot of travel time involved but was worth it.

Rio – again great guide/driver for us and loved the city, fant astic hotel.

We had an amazing trek and a great time in the amazon!

The lodges, food and guides could not be faulted. My highlight was the clay lick- a must for anyone going to the amazon. Although we had some early morning i found the lodges a very relaxing place to be.

We had a wonderful time trekking the Inca Trail. You have always been responsive to what probably seemed like endless questions. Your answers were always patient and understanding. I contacted many outfitters but you were the ones that were able to accommodate our Tuesday start at a reasonable price. We encountered other “mega tours” (a lot of trekkers in a single group) but what you arranged for us was a more intimate experience and we really appreciated it. Thank you and the Andean Trails staff for your hard work in arranging this holiday for my family.
