» Single Track Mountain Biking In Cusco

Well, we survived the Inca trail and were very pleased we selected the luxury trek with the smaller camp sites and extra day to complete the 42km. Macchu Picchu in all its glory was was bathed in sunshine on days 4&5 so we were very lucky.

We were lucky enough to spot a small black bear as it crossed our path on route! Our guide Nilo stated he has only seen two bears in the last five years. Thought you may like to see this.

The trek itself was absolutely fabulous thank you so much for arranging it for us. My friends and I were thrilled with the service we got- multi course meals all prepared for us and tents set up before we had arrived at the camping locations. Our guide was friendly as were the cooks and the route was stunning.

All in all it was a great success and I truly would recommend it to friends with great enthusiasm.

My trip was great. The Inca Trail is really really hard.Yikes. I didn’t quite realize what I was getting into 🙂 however my group was great, good guides, helpful porters and cook so it went very well.

Thanks for your help getting us organized on this trip, it was literally a once in a lifetime trip (partly because I’ll never do that again and mostly because the scenery and ruins are breathtakingly beautiful).

We had a great trip. I would easily return to do it again and highly recommend the trip to others. Of the two sections Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and the Bio Trip to Manu if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu portion. The trail and ruins were amazing.

We had a great time, for sure this is one tough but wonderful trek. The 9 hr coach from Lima to Huaraz was a nightmare so we cheated and flew back in 50 mins. The bags came back on the bus though!

Everything went smoothly so MANY, MANY thanks. The local team was superb.

I was amazed at how smoothly everything went, having only had experience in developing countries of Africa and Asia backpacking which is usually quite fraught at airports and railways. We were collected and looked after with absolutely no fuss, refreshments and comforts sorted out all the way by courteous staff.
The trekking guides cooks and wranglers were all great. Food was varied tasty and much better than I’d expected. Tents and mats were fine. The Amazon lodge was really nice and the programme you put together kept us busy and entertained. The best bits were jumaring into the tree and kayaking, although it was all good.

Everything went like clockwork and all the people involved were very helpful and most efficient. The three guides we had for our trek, for the Amazon and for Chachapoyas were brilliant. We understand from talking to them that they had been selected to suit our interests, so thank you very much for your attention to detail. Not only were they expert guides and very knowledgeable about birds, plants and animals and Peruvian culture, they were all also lovely people with a genuine interest in us.

The landscape, of course, is very beautiful, and it came alive as you described the people who had lived there and built the amazing sarcophaguses and mausoleums. But I found Kuelap to be even more impressive with its huge stone walls and hundreds of houses. The atmosphere was greater because so little has been excavated, and it was possible to imagine the feelings of the local people or of archaeologists when entering the massive gateway and re-discovering the wonders of the past.

The trip was great! Everything went very smoothly. Due to the unpredictable weather in El Chalten, we weren’t able to do the Fitz Roy trek and had to stay indoors that day. But, Freddy was great and very helpful. Thanks for all your help in organizing it!

Staff were superb and provided an excellent service. This may have been helped by Sue and I being the only two people staying at the adventure camp. The staff in the office in El Chalten were very good, too. We were lucky that the accident happened on the way down the Loma del Diablo and about 1 hour from the road and also lucky that our guide Juan was able to carry Sue down.

The cruise was great – fantastic organisation, very professional staff and all very interesting. We landed at Cape Horn but were not able to cruise round it as the weather was too bad.

Needless to say, I had a fantastic time in the Galapagos, just as you predicted! Everything went incredibly smoothly – in fact, I don’t think that there is anything I could fault about the whole trip. I was lucky to have a great group and our guide on the islands was fantastic. Everything was extremely well planned and thought out, so we always knew exactly what we were doing and there was absolutely no stress involved. I would (and will) heartily recommend both your, and your local team’s services to anyone interested in travelling to South America and the Galapagos.
